According to Women’s Wear Daily a big trend for Autumn is leather – again! This enduring product has outfitted the desperados of the Old West, protected our flyboys in open cockpits, defined "cool" on the backs of Marlon Brando and James Dean, and strutted down designer runways during Olympus Fashion Week. Leather apparel is undoubtedly infused our culture with a rebel spirit and rock and roll bravado, but leather has many faces. It can be dressed up for a stroll down 5th Avenue or roughed up to fix barbed wire on the ranch. The question then becomes, "Which face are you today?"
Fortunately, no matter your mood, the go-anywhere elegance of our Treviso Leather Coat can be casual, professional or formal in the indulgent velvety softness of New Zealand lamb leather. So consider the lasting beauty of an iconic leather garment this season for yourself and tap into this recurring thrend.

(A 19th Century Coverlet from Andhra Pradesh.)
(Our Shadow Blossom Skirt and Gilded Lily Kimono were inspired by the antique textile shown above.)
Beautiful textiles and crafts, vibrant religious festivals and a sensorial cuisine, Andhra Pradesh (situated on the south plateau of one of the oldest geological formations in India) offers some of the most indelible impressions of southern Asia. Such rich cultural gifts cannot help but inspire and such was the case when one of our designers found an antique textile from that region.
Our Shadow Blossom Skirt and Gilded Lily Kimono both share an ornamental array of botanical vines, flowers and peacocks as well as a striking star-floral medallion borrowed from the original textile.
Experience India’s lush beauty and culture for yourself with these stunning jacquard knit interpretations.
Store Adore featured a story in their September newsletter called "The Most Beautiful Stores in the Country" and Peruvian Connection was selected as their top pick for Washington DC!!
I had the pleasure and opportunity to visit our flagship full-line retail store in Washington DC last month. Peruvian Connection has a small collection of Outlet stores but this store is something completely different. Designed from the ground up by Annie and furnished with her own collection of antiques, each evoking a life-time of archaeological adventure and treasure. This unique store concept is meant to captivate the imagination as well as feature our latest collection of clothing, accessories and At-Home wares.
Our Grand Opening celebration will be October 16 but our doors are open now! Visit us at:
950 F Street, NW
Washington, D.C. 20004
Hours: 10-6 Monday – Saturday, 12-5 Sunday
Forty-one Peruvian Connection employees participated in the 15th annual Komen Kansas City Race for the Cure on Sunday, Aug 10. Nearly 25,000 survivors, family and friends walked, trotted and ran for the cure and raised over 1.2 million dollars. Sweat, laughter, panting and an overall-good-feeling was had by all.
