Kaffe (L) and his Kilim Garden Cardigan for PC (R)
Kaffe Fassett has attracted many fans worldwide to knitting, needlepoint, patchwork and mosaic…including us! He began designing for Peruvian Connection 8 years ago and our successful collaboration has yielded a unique following as we are the only place you can find completed Kaffe Fasset art-knits. Before we began working with Kaffe the only way you could own a Kaffe Fasset sweater was to buy his pattern and knit it yourself.
A best selling author (11 books to date), Kaffe has hosted his own TV series "Glorious Color" and was the first ever living artist to have a one man show at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. A Renaissance man, Kaffe also designs wallpaper, fabric and interior accessories. Designed specifically for Peruvian Connection, we are proud to offer several new designs from Kaffe Fasset this season including, for the first time ever, an intarsia hand-knit throw and matching pillow.

Now that New York Fashion Week has ended I’m again reminded of the importance of a good model. We have been fortunate to feature a variety of accomplished models over the years but I thought I would introduce you to one of our shining stars who played an important role in our Resort 2008 line.
Born in the Netherlands, our 5′ 11" ingenue won the 1998 Elite Model Look Contest. A fast and successful career began and she was courted by top designers throughout the world for print and runway. Above, DDF (a skincare line) found her porcelain skin and freckled nose as charming as we did and her statuesque form certainly lent additional grace to our new spring designs.
Model is wearing above:
Sisal Back Bow Hat
Wide Painted Bangle
Thin Painted Bangle
Flat Painted Bangle
Ice Blue Petal Crochet Bag
The men of Kas, Turkey admire our Handknit Corset Tunic. What good taste they have!
Did you know that there are three parts of a woman’s anatomy that are considered universally attractive no matter her dress size? Whether we are thin or full, tall or short, round or athletic we can count on these three body parts to always be pretty. Do you know what they are? #1 The bust, #2 the forearm (between the elbow and wrist) and #3 the shoulder. Now most would no doubt argue the list should be longer and of course each of us has special features we are proud of. But for the sake of including all women on a GLOBAL scale the narrow field of three is the universally agreed upon group.
Our ingenious design team has created an entire resort line for Spring with these three flattering features in mind. Empire waists, open neck-lines, wide cupping straps and elbow-length sleeves are only some of the smart design choices we offer this season. So play-up your assets ladies and feel pretty!
